Apple is launching a brand new standalone app designed particularly for streaming classical music. Apple Music Classical will probably be out there in late March, and can supply entry to greater than 5 million classical music tracks, the corporate said.
Apple mentioned the app could have the world’s largest classical music catalog and have hundreds of unique albums.
The app will probably be free for customers already subscribed to Apple Music, the corporate mentioned.
The transfer seems to be the end result of Apple’s 2021 acquisition of the classical music streaming service Primephonic.
“Collectively, we’re bringing nice new classical options to Apple Music, and within the close to future, we’ll ship a devoted classical expertise that can actually be the very best on the planet,” Vice President of Apple Music and Beats Oliver Schusser mentioned on the time.
The brand new classical app is predicted to launch on March 28.
